Nestled in the beautiful Bridger-Teton National Forest near Jackson, Wyoming, AWLS provides the perfect atmosphere for the accredited educational programs. Established in 1976 with the vision of providing educators with a useful hands-on experience that they can use in the classroom, AWLS has provided a credited wildlife management program for teachers who reach more than a million students annually, and fun,challenging experiences for students.

We continue our endeavor to keep our underpriveleged kids warm during the winters here in the Treasure Valley by organizing donations and contributing to Coats for Kids.   

$2,000 To Dollars For Scholars Fruitland Chapter: 

imageAt the heart of Scholarship America lies our Dollars for Scholars division—more 1,200 locally based, volunteer-driven chapters serving students in nearly 4,000 communities across the country. With support from our national office and six regional offices, Dollars for Scholars chapters help hometown students achieve their educational goals by providing assistance with college readiness and the financial aid process, and distributing scholarships each year.

Kids Day is an event for the whole family!  Every June we host the best outdoors kids adventure day possible!  Thanks to TVC-SCI member LeRoy Atwood, we have access to a wonderful piece of property in Payette.  This land boasts stocked fishing ponds, enough room to have a shooting range, an archery range, an area for 4-wheeling, a rock climbing wall, BBQ lunch - and more!  We encourage everyone with a child to come have a special, fun filled day learning what the great outdoors has to offer!

Wildlife Summit August 24 - 26, 2012

$5000 to the 2012 Idaho Wildlife Summit held in Boise, which brought together conservation groups and users of Idaho's wildlife resources to help chart a course for the future

 

 
$1,380 For Turkeys For The Hungry

Annually, SCI-Treasure Valley Chapter, together with North West Turkey Federation, provide turkeys to the hungry at Thanksgiving and Christmas.  The turkeys are provided to St. Vincent DePaul for distribution, as well as other needy organizations.

 
 
 
Upland Gamebird Hunting Vests for Youths To Idaho Hunters Education Association

Idaho Hunters Education Association put in a request for hunting vests for their 2011 & 2012 Youth Pheasant Hunt.  We stepped up and provided a vest for each youth participating in the event ($735)
 
 
TVC-SCI donates to and supports Idaho Sportmen's Caucas Advisory Committee (ISCAC)($2,200)
 
 
SCI-TVC provides and maintains our Sensory Safari Trailer - available to groups and educators throughout the Treasure Valley at no cost...we provide drop-off & pick-up.
